Imo, a popular communication platform for user protection, has come up with a number of new features to strengthen its overall security, including the unveiling of a wide range of anti-fraud security mechanisms.

"We consider security to be of the utmost importance and imo is committed to fighting against any misuse of our platform," said Christopher Shoe, Vice President of imo. He added, 'The fight against the increasingly technological criminals is ongoing; We are also committed to increasing our investment in this area as well as working together with industry partners and authorities to address this long-term problem.

Whenever users receive verification codes from imo, this new anti-fraud system will give them security reminders. The main purpose of this reminder is to prevent users from sharing code with others. The new security system will invalidate URL previews and links sent by strangers who are not mutual friends. Security reminders will appear on the chat page to warn users about one-way friends who are not on the contact list, so that users can be careful and not share any personal information.  

In addition, Imo will send security reminders to users trying to log in to different devices to protect users from ID hacking and not to share the verification code with anyone. The security notice provided by Imo will provide details of the new device, including information about attempting to log in. This allows users to go to the 'Manage Devices' option and delete any device that looks suspicious. Newly added devices will also be restricted to changing the number used with the user's account or deleting the account.  

imo has stepped up its efforts to take a stand against all content that is offensive in violation of Emo's policies, and has continued to expand its content moderation team. In the first half of 2021, imo has added more than 130 Bangladeshi employees to the content moderation team of more than 3,000 employees. Emo's content moderation team is working to remove any objectionable content and ensure that any reported content is processed within an average of 60 seconds. 

"Ensuring content compliance is one of our top priorities," said Christopher. In the fight against objectionable content, we have developed strict community policies and guidelines in compliance with local laws and culture. In the first half of this year alone, we have removed a total of 5.1 crore offensive posts and 6 lakh accounts. Of this, a total of 3.5 crore public content users have been removed before viewing.  

Imo strongly encourages users to report any content or behavior that is prohibited on the app. Emo has launched an awareness campaign in Bangladesh to encourage responsible use of social media.

"We've created an AI-enabled round-the-clock multi-step content moderation process to identify and moderate any content that is inappropriate or inappropriate. Our system can only automatically identify public content," said Christopher. In the case of private chat, our staff relies on reporting users to stop this abusive behavior, as private chat is encrypted. That's why we've launched this campaign to encourage our users to report any misconduct they see on the platform, so that we can take swift action.

Earlier, imo's 'Secret Chat' feature was appreciated by users. imo phone number verification system is also included to keep user's account safe and secure. Such protective measures have reduced the number of unwanted harassment reports in Imo. 

Chris stressed, “imo will continue to work with resources and technology to protect the community and maintain a healthy environment in the community. We had a goal before it became the best instant messaging platform for users in Bangladesh, and we will continue to do so in the future.
