Two things work with the data cable of our smartphone. It can be charged and data can be transferred to the computer. Hackers use this to program malicious code on some microcontroller devices where a data cable will make it look like the mobile phone is charging but behind the scenes the hacker's program can inject malware into the mobile phone and steal all its information. It can be any information stored on mobile phone including information about mobile banking, call records, pictures and videos.

The issue of juice jacking is a demonstration of how public charging booths can pose a risk to everyone at a 2011 event at the Wall of Ships (which mainly deals with cyber security) at Defcon. This concept has improved a lot over the years. Basically, it is easy to carry out such an attack on all the mobile phones that support OTG cable.

In Travers-Insected mode, players can transform themselves into an insect. In the new Erangel theme mode, players will see 5 new labs, each with a mysterious Quantum Transformation Device. 

Players who come in contact with this device will be converted to a tiny size. With this size, players will not be able to carry any equipment, but will be able to use the Homing Missile Launcher, which is also unlimited. 

Players will also be able to fly inside the lab. However, it should be noted that the players will return to normal when they move beyond a certain limit from the lab. Insected players are protected from common weapon attacks but can be knocked down by pan attacks.  

By navigating around the map in insectoid form, players will be able to collect light points that allow them to use wormholes. There are 5 light points from each light and a player can use a wormhole device to collect 40 light points, which can be used to teleport from one lab to another. 

Light points are available only in insecticide form. Normal players will be able to exchange light points as a combat supply using energy stores. Keep in mind, Travers-Insected mode has to be played just like a normal match, everyone has to survive on top.

Windows 11 is coming

TechGiant Microsoft has announced the closure of Windows 10 from October 14, 2025. According to tech website Tech Radar, Microsoft will continue to take updates after the 2025 deadline, so users can switch to the new operating system.

US-based technology company Microsoft has said it will not bring any more versions after version 10. But now, according to a teaser shared on the company's Twitter, Windows 11 version will come later this month. An event list on Microsoft's website will also announce what Windows will bring to the fore on June 24.

Meanwhile, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadela said, "The next generation of Windows updates will be one of the most important parts of the last decade."

 Incidentally, Windows '10 May 2020 update' had more problems. Many important features have been lost in this update. One of them was 'Fresh Start'. This feature allows users to re-install Windows 10 without losing data. This tool plays a very important role if there is a serious problem with the PC. Users have complained to Microsoft about these issues in the last few months.

According to Forbes, "Windows 10 users have been turning away from this operating system for a long time due to multiple problems."

রূপকথায় প্রাণীদের বহু বছর পর ঘুম ভাঙানোর কাহিনি সম্পর্কে আমরা সকলেই কম-বেশি পরিচিত। বাস্তবেও কিছু কিছু প্রাণীর মধ্যে এই ঘটনা দেখা গেলেও এখনও স্তন্যপায়ীদের মধ্যে এ রকম কোনও প্রমাণ মেলেনি।

এক ধরনের কচ্ছপ ৩-৪ বছর ঘুমিয়ে কাটায়। শীতকালে সাপ-ব্যাঙের ঘুমের কথা তো সকলেরই জানা। তেমন কিছু মাছও না খেয়ে ঘুমিয়ে কাটাতে পারে বহু দিন। কিন্তু তাই বলে টানা ২৪ হাজার বছর!

গবেষকদের চমকে দিয়ে এই ক্ষুদ্রাকার প্রাণীর ঘুম ভাঙল ২৪ হাজার বছর পর। এত দিন জীবন-মৃত্যুর মধ্যবর্তী দশায় ছিল সেটি।

সম্প্রতি সুদূর উত্তরে সাইবেরিয়ার আলাজেয়া নদীর কাছ থেকে নমুনা সংগ্রহ করে এই প্রাণীর হদিস পান বিজ্ঞানীরা।

এই জীবটি রটিফার প্রজাতির। এক ধরনের আনুবীক্ষণিক জীব। বহুকোষী এই জীবটির ব্যতিক্রমী ক্ষমতা রয়েছে।

এই জীবটি ১৬৯৬ সালে প্রথম খুঁজে পান জন হ্যারিস। জীবটি সর্বোচ্চ অর্ধ মিলিমিটার দীর্ঘ হতে পারে। মূলত স্বাদু পানিতেই এদের দেখা মেলে। এদের মুখের কাছে চাকার মতো অংশ থাকায় হুইল জীবও বলা হয়।

প্রতিকূল পরিবেশে এরা নিজেদের সমস্ত জৈবিক ক্রিয়া স্বেচ্ছায় বন্ধ করে দিতে পারে। এই ভাবে তারা মৃতের মতো থেকে যেতে পারে।

এই জীবটির দীর্ঘ বছর ঘুমিয়ে থাকার প্রমাণ এই প্রথম নয়। এই প্রমাণ আগেও পেয়েছেন বিজ্ঞানীরা।

এর আগে দেখা গেছে, হিমাঙ্কের ২০ ডিগ্রি সেলসিয়াস নীচের তাপমাত্রাতেও এক দশক ঘুমিয়ে কাটাতে পারে এই জীব। কিন্তু এবার নিজের ঘুমের যাবতীয় রেকর্ড ভেঙে ফেলেছে সেটি।

আলাজেয়া নদীর কাছ থেকে সংগ্রহ করা নমুনায় যে রটিফেরা মিলেছে তার ঘুমের বয়স অন্তত ২৪ হাজার বছর। স্বাভাবিকভাবেই জীবটির বয়স আরও বেশি।

এমনকি গবেষণাগারে নমুনাটি আনার পর বিজ্ঞানীরা দেখেছেন, অনুকূল পরিবেশে সেটি আবার অযৌন জনন পদ্ধতিতে বংশবিস্তারও করতে সক্ষম। বিজ্ঞানীদের এই গবেষণা ‘কারেন্ট বায়োলজি’ নামে একটি জার্নালে প্রকাশিত হয়েছে

পৃথিবীর চেয়ে ৩ গুণ বড় নতুন গ্রহটিতে থাকতে পারে মেঘ

নতুন একটি গ্রহের সন্ধান পেয়েছেন জ্যোতির্বিজ্ঞানীরা। নতুন গ্রহটি পৃথিবীর চেয়ে প্রায় ৩ গুণ বড়। গবেষকরা ওই গ্রহটির নাম দিয়েছেন TOI-1231 b। এটি পৃথিবী থেকে ৯০ আলোকবর্ষ দূরে। 

নাসা জানিয়েছে, নতুন গ্রহটিতে থাকতে পারে জলীয় বাষ্পে সম্পৃক্ত মেঘ। একটি লাল নক্ষত্রকে কেন্দ্র করে প্রদক্ষিণ করে এই গ্রহ। সেটি সূর্যের চেয়ে ছোট, কিন্তু অনেক বেশি পুরনো। 

TOI-1231 b গ্রহটির ২৪ দিনে তার 'সূর্য'-কে একবার প্রদক্ষিণ করে। অর্থাৎ মাত্র ২৪ দিনেই বছর। ফলে সেটি যে তার নক্ষত্রের বেশ কাছাকাছিই প্রদক্ষিণ করে তা বলাই যায়। সেক্ষেত্রে তো নক্ষত্রের প্রচন্ড উত্তাপে গ্রহটি ভীষণ উত্তপ্ত হওয়ার কথা? এমনটা কিন্তু নয়। এর কারণ অবশ্যই নক্ষত্রের ক্ষুদ্র আকৃতি। ফলে, বেশ ঠান্ডার দিকেই রয়েছে TOI-1231 b। এর সঙ্গে আমাদের সৌর জগতের নেপচুন গ্রহের বেশ মিল রয়েছে, এমনটাই জানিয়েছেন গবেষকরা।

নাসা জানিয়েছে, এই গ্রহে থাকতে পারে মেঘ। জলীয় বাষ্প দ্বারা তা সম্পৃক্ত হওয়ার সম্ভাবনা প্রবল। নাসার জেট প্রোপালশান ল্যাবরেটরির বহির্জগত গবেষক ড. জেনিফার বার্টের নেতৃত্বে চলা গবেষণায় এই গ্রহ আবিষ্কৃত হয়। তিনি ও ইউনিভার্সিটি অব নিউ মেক্সিকোর গবেষক ডিয়ানা ড্রাগোমি সংবাদমাধ্যমে TOI-1231 b-এর বিষয়ে ঘোষণা করেন।

সরকারকে ব্যবহারকারীর তথ্য জানাবে না হোয়াটসঅ্যাপ

ব্রিটেনে গোপনীয়তাকে গুরুত্ব দিয়ে বিজ্ঞাপনী প্রচারণা শুরু করছে ফেসবুকের মেসেজিং প্ল্যাটফর্ম হোয়াটসঅ্যাপ। গোপনীয়তা নিয়ে হোয়াটসঅ্যাপের নীতিমালার বিষয়ে ক্ষোভ প্রকাশ করেছিলেন ব্যবহারকারীরা। চলতি বছরের শুরুতে ওই নীতিমালা ঘোষণা করে হোয়াটস অ্যাপ জানায়, এসব নিয়ম মেনে না নিলে অ্যাকাউন্ট বন্ধ করে দেওয়া হবে। এতে ক্ষোভ প্রকাশ করে ব্যবহারকারীরা। অনেকে নিজে থেকেই অ্যাকাউন্ট বন্ধ করে দেন। এরপরই গ্রাহকের গোপনীয়তাকে গুরুত্ব দিয়ে প্রচারণা শুরু করেছে হোয়াটসঅ্যাপ।

সোমবার থেকে বিজ্ঞাপনটি জার্মানি ও ব্রিটেনে প্রচারিত হবে। এরপর ক্রমান্বয়ে সারা বিশ্বে এটি প্রচারিত হবে। 

ব্রিটেন ও ভারত এরইমধ্যে গ্রাহকদের তথ্য জানার জন্য হোয়াটসঅ্যাপের ওপর চাপ সৃষ্টি করেছে। তবে হোয়াটসঅ্যাপ কর্তৃপক্ষ জানিয়েছে, তারা সরকারের চাপের কাছে নতিস্বীকার করবে না এবং গ্রাহকদের তথ্য সরকারের কাছে দেবে না। 

২০২৫ সালের মধ্যে চালকবিহীন গাড়ি প্রযুক্তি নিয়ে আসার চেষ্টা হুয়াওয়ের

আগামী ২০২৫ সালের মধ্যে চালকবিহীন গাড়ি প্রযুক্তি নিয়ে আসার চেষ্টা চালাচ্ছে হুয়াওয়ে। সম্প্রতি এক ইন্ডাস্ট্রি কনফারেন্সে ওয়াং জুন নামে কোম্পানিটির এক জ্যেষ্ঠ নির্বাহী বলেন, 'আমাদের টিমের লক্ষ্য হচ্ছে ২০২৫ সালের মধ্যে সত্যিকারের চালকবিহীন গাড়ি নিয়ে আসা।'

সিলিকনভ্যালির প্রযুক্তি জায়ান্টগুলোর সঙ্গে টেক্কা দিয়ে চালকবিহীন গাড়ি প্রযুক্তিতে মনোযোগ দিয়েছে চীনা প্রযুক্তি কোম্পানিগুলো। চীনের সার্চ ইঞ্জিন লিডার বাইদু থেকে শুরু করে হুয়াওয়ে এতে মনোযোগ বাড়িয়েছে। ভবিষ্যতের পরিবহন খাতে এ প্রযুক্তি বৈপ্লবিক পরিবর্তন নিয়ে আসবে বলে মনে করছেন এ খাতসংশ্লিষ্টরা।
